Harvey Norris is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor based in Louisiana with more than 35 years of experience in behavioral health, trauma treatment, and forensic social work. A graduate of Florida State University with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology and social work, he has provided clinical leadership and direct services across diverse systems including the Veterans Health Administration, the Louisiana Army National Guard, correctional institutions, and private practice.
Harvey supervises and trains clinicians in evidence-based interventions such as EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Internal Family Systems. His career reflects a deep commitment to trauma recovery, suicide prevention, and professional education. He has developed national training programs through SuicideCard.com and MyMSW.info, supporting both public safety professionals and aspiring social workers.
Harvey is credentialed in multiple states and holds certifications in EMDR and advanced trauma treatment. A frequent speaker at NASW conferences, he has presented on complex trauma, PTSD, and narrative therapy.
