Brandy Chapman, PLPC

Brandy specializes in improving the mental well-being of children and teens through innovative, evidence-based therapeutic approaches. She integrates play, art, and sand tray approaches into her practice, recognizing that these creative methods can be particularly effective for younger clients. Through play, she engages children in interactive activities that help them express and work through their feelings. Art allows clients to visually explore their emotions and experiences, while the use of a sand tray offers a hands-on way to construct and understand personal narratives. Brandy is currently pursuing a certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). TF-CBT is a specialized, evidence-based therapeutic approach designed to help individuals, particularly children and adolescents, who are experiencing distress related to trauma. It combines cognitive-behavioral techniqueswith trauma-sensitive principles to address the impact of traumatic experiences on mental health. Combining these approaches, Brandy provides a warm and supportive environment tailored to each child’s unique needs. Her goal is to empower young individuals with tools for emotional resilience and personal growth, fostering a space where they can safely explore and overcome their challenges. Outside of the office, Brandy is a nature enthusiast who loves hiking, camping, and all things involving the great outdoors. Whether exploring scenic trails or enjoying the tranquility of a campsite, she finds peace and mindfulness in nature. When she’s no outside, you can often find her enjoying a good video game. She treasures quality time spent engaging in her hobbies with her family and dogs.
